Evntrace (“we,” “us”) provides independent digital forensic examination services. This policy explains what information we collect through evntrace.com and how we use it.
Information you provide
When you use a request form, we collect your name, email, and optionally your phone number and organization. We also collect the answers you choose: the type of matter, your role, the kinds of evidence and help involved, and dates such as a deadline or session date. When you request the rate sheet, we collect your email and the rate track you choose.
Answers saved in your browser
While you fill in a request form, your answers are kept in that browser tab so a reload doesn't lose them. They are removed when you send the request, choose Start over, or close the tab. They are not sent to us until you press Send.
Tools that never send data
Tools that never send data: The free settlement-range worksheet runs only in your browser. Nothing you enter in it is sent to us or stored.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads to understand how visitors find and use the site and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These services set cookies and collect standard technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and the page or ad that referred you. When you contact us after clicking one of our ads, we may send Google a securely hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your email address to measure that conversion; Google cannot reverse the hash to read your address. The same measurement applies to every request form on this site.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and manage ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” setting.
Data retention
We keep inquiry correspondence only as long as needed to respond and to maintain ordinary business records, then delete it. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention periods.
A note on case confidentiality. Evntrace works with defense teams and other clients on sensitive matters. Anything shared with us in the course of an engagement is treated as confidential and is handled entirely separately from — and is never part of — the general website analytics described above.
